4K Accounting Services is a Grand Rapids, Michigan CPA firm — owner-led by Mindy Kiliszewski, CPA, with a 5.0-star rating across 28 Google reviews, the strongest in its local market. When 4K came to Big Fox Agency, the goal was simple and ambitious: a brand-new website that didn’t just look the part, but earned its place in local search. We built it from the ground up — and the most striking part of the story is how fast it started ranking.

A new site only ranks quickly if it’s engineered to. So rather than ship a brochure and hope, we built 4K’s site around what people in West Michigan actually search for:

  • A demand-led keyword strategy. We led the homepage and service pages with the terms that carry real local demand — “accounting” and “bookkeeping” first, “CPA” second — because that’s the order people search them, not the order the industry prefers to label itself.
  • A local content architecture. A /service-areas hub plus dedicated location pages for the towns 4K actually serves — Cutlerville, Kentwood, Wyoming, East Grand Rapids, Grandville, Walker — each with its own unique, town-specific content rather than a thin city swap.
  • A clean technical foundation. Fast, crawlable, fully structured pages so Google could read, understand, and index the site without friction from the first crawl.

The point of building this way is speed-to-relevance: when the structure, the keywords, and the local signals all line up on day one, Google has very little to figure out.

Page one within weeks of launch

The new site went live on June 1, 2026. Within its first month, Google Search Console was already showing page-one rankings across exactly the searches that matter to a local accounting firm:

  • Core local service terms on page one. “Bookkeeping service grand rapids” and “bookkeeping in grand rapids” both landed around the #2 spot; “small business accountant” sat in the top two.
  • A clean sweep of the suburban tax cluster. Across the East Grand Rapids tax searches — accountant, preparation, preparer, consultant, service — 4K ranked #1 on every variant. The firm also took #1 positions for the core tax-prep terms in Cutlerville, Kentwood and Wyoming.
  • The brand, secured. Searches for “4K Accounting” surfaced the new site at the top of page one and started earning clicks.
  • Real breadth, fast. In its first month live, the site was already appearing for 200-plus distinct searches — the sign of a foundation Google understands broadly, not just for one or two terms.

For a website that was days old, this is an extraordinary start. Most new sites spend their first few months invisible while Google decides whether to trust them. 4K skipped that wait for the searches that count.

Why a new site ranked this fast

Speed like this isn’t luck — it’s the payoff of building correctly. Three things compounded:

  1. Topical clarity. Every page made its subject and its service area unmistakable, so Google could place the site in the right local results immediately.
  2. Demand-matched content. Because the pages were led by the words people actually search, the relevance was there the moment the site was indexed — no waiting to “discover” the right keywords later.
  3. Genuine local signals. Real town-level location pages, consistent business details, and structured data gave Google strong reasons to rank 4K for nearby searches right away.

What’s next

These are first-month positions on a site that’s only getting stronger. The early wins are concentrated in the local long-tail and the suburban tax cluster; the more competitive head terms across greater Grand Rapids are climbing, and we measure progress every month against a frozen launch baseline. The foundation is doing exactly what a foundation should — compounding. We’ll keep building on it.

The Trajectory

Growth that compounds

These are first-month positions on a site only weeks old — the local cluster won early, the competitive head terms still climbing. The foundation is built to compound from here.
